this article is about Persepolis a graphic novel or comic book written by Marjane Satrapi. Graphic novels use pictures as well as writing to tell he story. Satrapi talks about many horrible experiences that took place during her childhood. Some of those include mass murders, bombing and executions.
When i read this i was in complete shock i didn't think the children would see these horrible event happen. i knew terrible stuff like this happened all the time during war however i did not know the extent. i enjoyed seeing illustrations that went along with the graphic novel or comic book at the writer prefers it to be named. the pictures helped me to better understand the whole point of the story.

This article is about children participating in risky behavior at younger ages. Some of these behavior include alcohol use, sexual intercourse, poor eating and physical inactivity. All these are contributing to the leading cause of death and disability in todays young people. I personally believe that all this is true . Kids these days spend most of their time inside or a parties not exercising or learning to cook healthy food. However todays world does not allow time for most people to sit down and actually enjoy a healthy meal. When it comes to drug use kids just want to feel like they fit in and sometimes its the only way to get accepted when you feel you have no other choice.

question for july 14
Q: How does hearing the stories of Katrina survivors help you better narrate your own memoir? What strategies do they use that you can also use to make your memoir stronger?
A: it helps me by giving me some ideas of the kinds of emotions i have to put into my memoir. They use emotion and strong imagery that paints a picture in the readers mind.

In writing a memoir: The involvement of art with craft; by : Frank F. Mathias. They discuss how many World War I & II veterans failed to write a memoir. it tells you how to write an interesting memoir by telling the truth yet using some imagination. in writing a memoir you must always remember that you are telling a story about yourself. Meaning you must always write who you really. the author used the phrase “ you must expose yourself warts and all.” I personally believe that when you really want others to fully understand you; you must tell all your flaws, bad habits, and show your scars. Being fake or “ politically correct” when in truth you are not either of those two will only give others a false perception of you. Could it be that when the veterans wrote their memoirs they realized that they had memories that other should be objected too? What about if a veteran has post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD, could that be accountable for the lack of memoirs? Could another person write a memoir for someone else using personal letters or objects?
